The situation in Gefe community has been dire for quite some time, with constant disturbances from terrorists since November of last year.
The residents, who heavily rely on farming, are now unable to access their farmlands due to the fear of being kidnapped. They have even resorted to selling their harvest and lands to gather funds for ransom payments.
The community is urgently appealing for government support, including food and fertilizer, to alleviate the hunger crisis they are facing.
Additionally, they are requesting the deployment of security forces in the area to restore confidence and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the ongoing nightmares in their communities.
The families of the abducted individuals have not yet received any ransom demands, and the two deceased victims were laid to rest on Tuesday, 7th May 2024, according to Christian customs.
