Ifeanyi, a young man who was reported to have been abducted on Friday last week, only two days before Christmas, has been found dead.

The man was taken hostage near the Geneva Hotel in Okpuno. He is thought to be from the town of Awgu in Anambra State’s Orumba North Local Government Area.

On his Facebook page, Mr. Ebuka Okoye said that the body of the man who had been kidnapped was found in Awka on Christmas Day.

In response to a question from Obasanjonews24, Ebuka stated: “He was abducted on Friday near the Geneva Hotel road.” I’m not sure exactly where his body was discovered.

One death too many! He had earlier written on his Facebook wall with a photo of the deceased, “One death too many!!! This kind man was abducted on Friday in the state capital, and just last night, his lifeless body was discovered by the side of the road.

Ebuka had said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo was incompetent because of all the deaths, which he said was to blame for how unsafe Anambra State was.

“I can absolutely tell you that no one is secure down there if such a horrific event can occur in the state’s capital without any intelligence geared towards tracking the culprits of this crime down.” not even his (Soludo’s) assistants or all these Assembly members who appear to be playing to the crowd.

Mr. Naeche Okoye, who described the deceased as his younger brother, also bid him farewell.”Ifeanyi, my junior brother, continue to be at peace until we meet again and part no more, Amen,” he said. It was exceedingly difficult for Awgbu Ebenese to lose one of his honest sons.

Ifeanyi’s passing has been confirmed by the state police command in the interim. DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, a spokesperson for the state police command, refuted claims that there had been a kidnapping. He claimed that an investigation was underway.

“It’s a straightforward murder case that’s still being looked at.” We implore anyone who saw the dead body to come forward with any information that will help with the ongoing investigation.

There were axe-cut marks on the deceased body, which suggests that it may have been cult-related. The body has been located and placed in the mortuary in the interim, he said.
