Two alleged kidnappers were neutralised by police in Bauchi on Friday in Rafin Gora in the Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, and their victim was freed.
The gun-toting attackers broke into the home of a Rafin Gora resident and made an attempt to kidnap his 28-year-old son, according to SP Ahmed Wakil, the police spokesman, who made the announcement on Sunday in Bauchi.
“When attempting to flee, the victim fought being taken hostage and was shot many times in the lower abdomen.

In order to face the kidnappers, who welcomed them with random gunshots, police officers and members of a local vigilance organisation mobilised to the scene, according to him.
The perpetrators fled in confusion with possible gunshot wounds after the operators successfully returned fire, the speaker continued.
“Two of them met their demise, and one AK-47 was found among them.
The 28-year-old sufferer was saved and sent right away for treatment to the Birnin Kudu Federal Medical Center, according to Wakil.
He continued by saying that the suspects were being sought after in order to bring them to justice.
