Fourteen Nigerians are on the list of the “100 Most Reputable Africans of 2023.” These people include former President Goodluck Jonathan, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Aisha Yesufu, an activist for human rights.
Reputation Poll International (RPI), a global reputation management company, unveiled the list on Monday. It includes people from a variety of fields, including governance and leadership, entertainment, human rights and advocacy, education, and business.
According to a statement on the business’ website, Reputation Poll is a research-based, international performance-management consulting company. With a focus on developing and executing trustworthy opinions on people, organisations, and brands across many industries, Reputation Poll is positioned to become a global brand in reputation ratings.
Arunma Oteh, an economist and financial manager; Ambassador Bolaji Akinremi, director of economy, trade, and investment at the ministry of foreign affairs; Cosmas Maduka, founder and chairman of the Coscharis Group; and Dauda Lawal, executive vice chairman and CEO of Credent Capital and Advisory Ltd., are among the recognised Nigerians.
The list also included the following individuals: Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and general overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFCW); Ogiame Atuwatse III, the 21st Olu of Warri; Olaniyi Olatunji Nelson, an international development professional; and Pastor Paul Enenche, senior pastor of The Dunamis International Gospel Centre.
Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN; Wally Adeyemo, the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Department of the United States; and WF Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), are additional participants (pastors).
The selection criteria, according to the company, are impact, visibility, and integrity.
According to the organisation, “Ms. Beldina Auma, the Co-Chairperson of the Review and Audit Committee, President of SCIP-International, and Chair Emeritus of the World Bank Group-IMF African Society,” said the organisation is dedicated to recognising individuals, groups, and businesses that consistently improve lives in Africa and around the world during the announcement of the list.
