On Tuesday evening, Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen will be absent from his team’s Turkish Super Lig match against Gaziantep FK.

On Monday, Galatasaray stated this publicly on their website.

The team of Okan Buruk has declared that Osimhen, along with Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai, will be absent from the game at RAMS Park.

The statement stated that “Victor Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai, who were transferred after the postponement date, will be absent from the squad due to their status.”

On the third match-day, the game was scheduled to occur however it got delayed. During that time, Osimhen along with Jakobs and Sallai were not registered which made them ineligible to participate in the match.

Osimhen will have to bide his time before appearing again for Galatasaray, having made a debut against Çaykur Rizespor the previous weekend.

Next weekend, Osimhen will face his first major challenge in the Süper Lig as Fenerbahçe, under Jose Mourinho’s leadership, hosts Galatasaray at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
