Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the minister of foreign affairs, gave a car to Mohammed Tilde, the acting chairman of the All Progressive (APC) in Bauchi State, and N5 million to the party.

Tuggar revealed this on Tuesday when leading other directors and foundation coordinators to the party secretariat in Bauchi. Tuggar was represented by Bello Muhammad Tukura, the director general of the Tuggar Foundation.

Before giving the APC Acting Chairman in Bauchi State the car key, Tukura made a brief statement in which she revealed the minister’s commitment to stay with the party and assist it in any way that is needed.

He stated, “We met with him in Abuja a few days ago, and he requested me to tell you that he would have been in Bauchi himself to spend time with party leadership and faithful in the state if it weren’t for the demands of his office, which need him to travel regularly.

“The minister purchased a car for the acting chairman to drive around and asked me to deliver the sum of N5 million to the party.”

“We brought the automobile here, and I’m giving you the key. The minister told me to let you know that you are free to use the vehicle for any APC-related events.

“Ambassador requested that I let you know about any remaining tasks related to managing the party in the state.

“He promised the working committee members that they would remember their efforts and that he would be willing to provide assistance as needed.”

The acting chairman, Mohammed Tilde, thanked the minister for his thoughtful gesture on behalf of the working committee’s members and leadership.

Tilde expressed her gratitude for the visit to the minister, the foundation’s director general, secretary, and other directors.

He said, “We thank God for answering all of our prayers so that we can find answers and bring about change in our party in the state.”

First and foremost, we would like to express our gratitude to Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar for continuing his previous work of supporting and assisting the party in the state.

“Secondly, we express our gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for designating three of our Bauchi constituents to important positions.”

He claimed that the party will be stronger in front of upcoming elections thanks to Ambassador Tuggar’s gesture and that of other party appointees at the federal level.

Taking advantage of the occasion, the interim chairman asked party members to maintain their patience in the face of the obstacles facing the organisation.

He said that the party’s past leaders had made every effort to raise the party’s profile in the state and that the current leadership was taking note of their efforts.

Tilde urged the faithful to keep up their prayers for the APC in Bauchi state to change for the better.

He promised that his leadership will be fair and diligent in addressing each member’s desires and goals.

The acting chairman also urged party members to constantly advise his working committee’s leadership on how to advance the party.

He promised, “Do not be afraid to point out our errors and we promise to make corrections when needed.”

“We beg that such reconciliation efforts must be done in the appropriate way when it comes to restoring the damage that has been inflicted on the party, whether inside the state or at the national level.

Because we are human, we will always voice our complaints and demand that the proper thing be done.

“I want to reassure you that we will handle difficulties by adhering to the established protocol.

On this subject, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the Ambassador’s assistance to our group.

“I remember that many of the members wanted to visit as a show of support from every community in the state when we first joined.

“We ran a vigorous campaign in 2023.”

We sued all the way up to the Appeal Court following the election.

We believed that asking members from places like Gamawa, Itas, Zaki, and Toro to join us would be equivalent to punishing them, therefore we decided to organise a solidarity visit to the headquarters.

We want supporters to come, but it’s not because we don’t care about them.

“We are impressed with the work that the Tuggar Foundation has done today. I see representation because, even if every ministerial supporter were present today, we would still be in excess of 4,000.”

“For their support of the party in the state, Senator Shehu Buba, Professor Ali Pate, Minister of Health, and Sadiq Abubakar were also acknowledged by the Acting Chairman.

He called on the party’s members to band together and cooperate.
If we don’t maintain this togetherness, we’ll run into issues along the line. Therefore, we implore every one of our members to keep on the path of peace.
