U.S. President Donald Trump issues a strong warning about the Gaza conflict, suggesting he could “let hell break out” if tensions escalate further.
U.S. President Donald Trump has delivered a strict ultimatum to Hamas, insisting that all remaining hostages in Gaza be released by midday on Saturday. He warned that non-compliance would lead to “all hell” breaking loose.
On Monday, Hamas warned that they might stop releasing more hostages. They accused Israel of breaching the fragile ceasefire agreement by blocking displaced Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, limiting humanitarian aid deliveries, and stalling discussions for the next phase of the deal.
In response, Israel declared that Hamas’s actions were a total violation of the agreement in which the militant group had committed to releasing 33 hostages initially and doing so in several phases, in return for 1,904 Palestinian prisoners held by Israeli authorities.
Defense Minister Israel Katz stated, “I have directed the IDF to be at the highest level of alert for any potential scenario in Gaza.”
During a press briefing at the White House on Monday, Trump stated that the future of the ceasefire would be “Israel’s decision.”
“If you ask me, if every hostage isn’t returned by Saturday at noon—which I think is a fair deadline—I’d suggest calling it off and letting chaos ensue,” Trump stated.
“We want them all back,” he emphasized, demanding the immediate release of all hostages in one go, “not bit by bit— not two here or three there.” When questioned about specific punitive measures he had in mind, Trump reaffirmed that “all hell is going to break out.”
“You’ll see. They will also understand soon enough, including Hamas. These are troubled individuals,” he commented.
During a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week, Trump suggested the possibility of the US taking control of the Palestinian enclave. He envisioned transforming Gaza—devastated by 15 months of war between Israel and Hamas—into what he called “the Riviera of the Middle East.” His proposal included relocating Palestinians to neighboring Arab countries during redevelopment efforts. On Monday, he warned that aid might be withheld from Jordan and Egypt if they declined to accept Palestinian refugees.
Bassem Naim, head of Hamas’s political branch, described the move as “ethnic cleansing” and a “crime against humanity” during an exclusive interview with RT on Friday.
