Former US President Donald Trump calls on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the ongoing war in Ukraine, warning of further sanctions if the conflict continues.

Former President Donald Trump has called on Vladimir Putin of Russia to negotiate a resolution to the “ridiculous” war in Ukraine, warning that failure to do so would result in new tariffs and sanctions.

In a social media post, he mentioned that while he maintains a good relationship with his Russian counterpart, failure to reach an agreement soon would lead him to implement new economic sanctions.

In the meantime, travel to the US for all refugees has been suspended due to an executive order from Donald Trump.

This means that refugees who have authorization to enter the US will be denied entry, and the processing of new cases is put on hold.

The executive order issued on Monday stated that “the US has experienced an overwhelming increase in migration, including through the US Refugee Admissions Program.”

Federal agencies previously placed diversity staff on paid leave “immediately,” with a specific deadline of 17:00 local time (22:00 GMT) today.
