Trump Labels Zelensky a ‘Dictator’ in Response to ‘Disinformation’ Criticism

U.S. President Donald Trump fires back at Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a “dictator” amid ongoing tensions over disinformation claims.
Donald Trump renewed his criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, labeling him as a “dictator” and accusing him of doing a “terrible job.”
Earlier, Zelensky claimed that the US president is “living in a disinformation space” crafted by Russia after talks between the US and Moscow took place in Saudi Arabia—talks from which Kyiv was excluded.
When the BBC later asked Trump how he would address Ukrainians who felt “betrayed” for not having a seat at the table, he responded that Ukraine “could have made a deal” earlier.
Russian President Vladimir Putin later stated that “Ukraine is not being excluded” from discussions to end the war.
Three years ago, a full-scale Russian invasion ignited the war in Ukraine, occurring eight years after Russia unilaterally annexed Crimea.
The Ukrainian foreign minister stated that the people of Ukraine, along with President Zelensky, “stood firm against Putin’s pressure. No one can compel Ukraine to surrender.”

Hello from Florida, where President Trump recently arrived in Miami.
Observers worldwide will be eagerly awaiting any updates on a potential meeting with Vladimir Putin.
During a speech at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach yesterday, Trump mentioned that a meeting would “probably” take place before the end of the month.
Trump had earlier hinted that the meeting would occur in Saudi Arabia, where Russian and U.S. delegations are presently convening to discuss Ukraine’s future.
In recent days, the US president has frequently mentioned his relationship with his Russian counterpart. He claims that if he had been in office in 2022, Putin’s invasion of Ukraine would never have occurred.
“I used to talk about this with Putin at Mar-a-Lago,” Trump remarked. “He was very interested in it, but there was no possibility of him making a move. I warned him against going forward.”
The Kremlin, on its part, has been more reserved regarding the possibility of a summit.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed reporters on Wednesday that a meeting might be scheduled for the end of February, although it is also possible that it will not take place.
