Former US President Donald Trump, who is currently the leading Republican candidate for the November race, has claimed that US President Joe Biden shares responsibility for Iran’s recent drone and missile strike on Israel.

Trump suggested that Biden’s lack of leadership has emboldened Tehran. On Saturday, Iran launched multiple waves of missiles and kamikaze drones at Israel, citing retaliation for alleged crimes committed by the “Zionist regime.” While the Israeli Defense Forces reported intercepting most of the projectiles, Iranian state media claimed that several Israeli military installations were hit.

Speaking to supporters in Pennsylvania, Trump criticized the perceived weakness shown by the current administration and reiterated his unwavering support for Israel. Trump has previously accused Biden of lacking assertiveness on the global stage and being unfit for office.

During his presidency, Trump recognized Syria’s Golan Heights and was known for his strong support of Israel.
