Troops from Forward Operating Base Molai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, successfully rescued family members of a Boko Haram terrorist.
The joint security forces set up an ambush at the logistic crossing point of the terrorists along Yuwe Road, Komala, in Bama LGA, Borno State, leading to this operation.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, shared this information on Friday through his X handle.
Makama mentioned that the troops engaged in a heavy gun battle with the terrorists during a counter-offensive patrol in Yuwe, resulting in the defeat of the Boko Haram members.

The rescued individuals include a Mother, Aisha Usman, along with her three daughters: Hauwa, Binta, and Amina.
Further investigations revealed that Aisha Usman was forcefully taken by Boko Haram in 2014 from her home in HANTSA village, Gulak district, Madagali LGA, Adamawa State. She was later married to one of the terrorists and had three children while in captivity at Njimiya camp in Sambisa Forest.
The rescued family has been placed in military custody for profiling and necessary actions.
