Renowned bandits engaged in a bloody skirmish in the Wukari Local Government Area with troops of 6 Brigade, based in Jalingo, Taraba State.

According to Brigade Commander Brigadier Kinsley Uwa, gunshots were reported close to a disputed area along Tsukundi Road in Wukari, which sparked the altercation.
Under 6 Brigade, the 93 Battalion reacted to the crisis with speed.
“When the forces arrived on the scene, they found two dead people who were probably the attackers’ victims, while a person who had been injured was given rapid medical assistance.
According to Uwa, “the troops engaged armed groups while meticulously combing nearby bushes, displaying exceptional courage and professionalism.”
“The soldiers successfully used their superior firepower to confront the armed groups, forcing the militias to leave their positions and flee.”
A large cache of weapons, including two AK-47 rifles with 36 rounds of special 7.62mm ammunition, ten empty 7.62mm cases, a double barrel rifle, and a single barrel rifle with 14 live cartridges, were successfully retrieved by the troops during the operation.
This engagement, according to Brigadier Uwa, highlights the military’s steadfast commitment to maintaining security and tranquilly in Taraba State.
He gave residents and the public the assurance that 6 Brigade’s forces would not give up until all criminal elements in the state were driven out of their strongholds.
