Troops Apprehend 20 Suspects Over Plateau Killings

In response to recent violence in Plateau State, troops have apprehended 20 suspects as part of ongoing efforts to curb unrest and ensure justice.

Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops have arrested 20 suspects linked to the killings in Tingbwa Gidan Ado community, located in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Commander of OPSH, revealed this information during the Christmas luncheon held for troops from OPSH and 3 Division of the Nigerian Army on Thursday in Jos.

Reports indicate that on December 22, gunmen attacked the community, resulting in the deaths of 15 people.

Abdulsalam, who serves as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3rd Division, stated that the troops had successfully recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.
