Tricycle operators voice concerns regarding N3,500 ticket and stickers in Delta
Commercial tricycle operators at Enerhen Junction in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State are expressing their frustration over the exorbitant cost of operational tickets and stickers, which are being sold at a staggering price of N3,500 by individuals posing as agents of the state government.

This issue has become a major obstacle for these tricyclists, significantly impacting their ability to conduct their business effectively.
Joshua, one of the tricyclists, highlighted the detrimental effects of the high prices of these tickets and stickers, emphasizing that many of them simply cannot afford them.
He further lamented the burden of excessive taxation, which has further compounded their financial struggles.
In light of these challenges, Joshua urged the government to intervene and address this pressing issue.
He emphasized the need for a reduction in the prices of the tickets and stickers, as well as the urgent need to tackle the presence of touts and the alleged extortion by police operatives.
According to Joshua, the overall business of tricycle operators, commonly known as “Keke,” has been severely affected due to the continuous rise in costs and the harsh economic climate.
He expressed his concern that even basic necessities, such as a decent meal, have become unaffordable for them.
Jeremiah Utonraye, another commercial tricyclist, echoed the sentiments of his colleague, confirming the daily extortion of ₦100 by the police in Orhunwhorhun, specifically at Enerhen Junction.
He pleaded with the government to urgently address this situation and alleviate the stress and financial strain faced by tricyclists in the area.
