Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, has announced his plans to release an album as a tribute to his son. Mohbad, who was previously signed to Marlian Records, passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day in Ikorodu amidst scenes of immense sadness from his family, friends, and supporters.
However, on September 21, the police exhumed Mohbad’s body for an autopsy, awaiting the results due to the controversy surrounding his death. Aloba, in a widely circulated flier, revealed that the album titled ‘Itunu’ is dedicated to the memory of the late singer and is being produced by Latsoul Films International.
In a video that surfaced earlier this month, Aloba was seen passionately recording a song in the studio while advising people to be mindful of their actions.
Since Mohbad’s passing, Aloba has been making headlines, and last month, there were calls from Nigerians urging for the release of Mohbad’s body for burial. Aloba, however, cautioned that nobody should take his son’s body for burial without his consent.
