According to reports, Manchester United and Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite have come to an amicable personal terms arrangement, opening the door for a possible summer transfer.

According to The Times, Everton is requesting £70 million for the 21-year-old England international, and the Red Devils are now scheduled to agree on a transfer deal.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe endorsing Branthwaite as his first choice for a new central defence this summer, this acquisition would represent a major addition for Man United.

Branthwaite, who has made 54 appearances since reaching the main team, has left a lasting impression at Everton.

The report also stated that because of his strong friendship with Branthwaite’s agent, David Reeves, Man United’s new technical director, Jason Wilcox, may have personally arranged the agreement.
