Transfer: Man Utd Eyeing Former Chelsea Star for Amorim’s Squad

Manchester United shows interest in signing a former Chelsea star to bolster manager Ruben Amorim’s squad, sparking transfer speculation.

Manchester United have expressed ‘serious interest’ in acquiring former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen during the January transfer window, aiming to strengthen manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Christensen, now a player for Barcelona, has appeared in only 75 matches for the team since transferring to the Catalan club without a fee in 2022.

At 28 years old, he appeared in over 30 matches during his debut season with Barca, contributing to the team’s LaLiga title victory.

He has hardly played for Hansi Flick’s team this season because of fitness issues.

Despite the setback, Christensen resumed training over the weekend as he attempts to revive his career.

However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Manchester United and other Serie A clubs are expressing strong interest in pursuing a January deal for Christensen. They remain unfazed by the player’s recent injury absence.

Christensen would enhance Amorim’s team after the Red Devils’ disappointing start to the 2024/25 season.
