According to Obasanjonews.com, Everton is getting close to signing Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer.
Ndidi was unable to reach an agreement for a new deal with Leicester City, thus at the end of this month, he will become a free agent.
Clubs including Everton, Monaco, Olympic Lyon, and Olympic Marseille are in the running to sign him.
Due to their advanced negotiations with the midfielder’s representative, the Toffees are currently at the front of the queue.
Football Insider claims that the Nigerian international has also agreed to sign with the Merseysiders.
Ndidi’s skill and experience are desperately needed by Everton to bolster their midfield.
The 27-year-old has represented Leicester City in 192 Premier League appearances thus far.
Ndidi made 32 league appearances for the team in season, tallying four goals and dishing out five assists.
