Transfer: Boniface future uncertain for Leverkusen despite Bundesliga victory
Victor Boniface, the talented 23-year-old Super Eagles striker, may have the opportunity to depart from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the newly crowned Bundesliga champions, during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Boniface, who showcased his skills by scoring the opening goal in B04’s resounding 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen, securing their first-ever Meisterschale in their 120-year history, has attracted significant interest from Serie A clubs such as Napoli and Juventus, as well as Premier League clubs, most notably Arsenal.
Since joining Die Werkself from Belgian side Union Saint Gilloise in July 2023, the Nigerian international has been in exceptional form, netting an impressive 18 goals in 27 games across all competitions this season.

Reports suggest that Serie A powerhouses Juventus, AC Milan, and Napoli are prepared to compete for Boniface’s signature, with a valuation of €40 million placed on the player.
Recent rumors even indicate that Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is actively working on a potential deal for Boniface.
However, Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director, Simon Rolfes, has hinted that the club intends to reject all offers for key players like Florian Wirtz and Granit Xhaka, as they aim to maintain the cohesion of their title-winning squad.
