According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), 19 people have died in a traffic accident that happened in Kwara State.
This was revealed by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed on Friday in Abuja during a news briefing.
He stated that at precisely 20:00 on Thursday, there was an accident at Kanbi village on the Olooru new Jebba route in Kwara State.
The incident, which happened as a result of speeding and improper passing, included two vehicles, according to the Corps Marsha’s preliminary investigation: a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number LSD363YE and a blue Iveco trailer that had no trace of registration.

Twenty-three adult males, five adult females, two adult female children, and five adult male children made up the total of 25 persons participating, according to Mohammed.
“Original data shows that 19 victims—11 male adults, 3 female adults, 3 male children, and 2 female children—were killed, while 5 individuals were injured (3 male adults and 2 female adults).
“The injured victims were taken to Orisun Ayo Hospital for treatment. The families of the deceased claimed the remaining eighteen deceased bodies, while one corpse was placed in the hospital’s mortuary.”
