In Nasarawa State, lightning struck and killed four persons; others are reportedly in critical condition.
The Nasarawa garage in the state’s Nasarawa Local Government Area had an event on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
According to eyewitness Aleeyou Mabudi, the event happened while he was having his car fixed.

Here in Nasarawa, a few minutes ago, I saw the most powerful and terrifying thunder strike. I heard a brilliant flash and a loud rumbling at the Nasarawa Garage while my car was being mended. He explained, “A lot of people actually fled without realising what it was.
Three people unfortunately lost their lives as a result of the lightning strike, it was discovered during a group that had convened under a tree shortly after the thundering incident. In my entire life, I have never seen anything as terrible as this.
In the meantime, the families of the victims have received condolences from Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, the member representing the Nasarawa Central constituency and chairperson of the Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, who confirmed the event in a statement.
“Our sympathies are with the families of those who perished in the thunder strike at the Nasarawa Garage/Mechanic Workshop in the Nasarawa Local Government, as well as those who were injured to varying degrees. We ask Allah to give the departed people eternal rest and their families the strength to cope with such a terrible loss. It said as much.
