Tragic Crash: 3 Nigerian Students Die on Protest Break
Three students from Cross River State University tragically lost their lives in a car accident on Tuesday as they were journeying home after the institution’s two-week closure.
To impede the student involvement in a planned hardship protest on August 1, the university ceased its operations.

While traveling to Ogoja in the northern part of the state, students were involved in an accident close to Ikom on the Calabar-Ikom highway.
According to eyewitness Ndoma Akunobor, who was also on the bus at the time, it has been reported that individuals from the departments of Microbiology, Plant Science and Biotechnology were among those deceased. Unfortunately their identities have not yet been confirmed as of this report.
