A woman was tragically killed by a hungry crocodile while bathing in a river. Discover the details of this horrifying incident.

On August 20, Halima Rahakbauw of Indonesia, who was aged 54, lost her life while taking a bath in a river in Wali village situated amidst the Maluku islands due to an attack by a crocodile.

While Rahakbauw was swimming and searching for clams in the river, he became a victim of a crocodile attack.

After failing to return home, the family and friends of an individual embarked on a search for her as revealed by her neighbor Rustam Ilyas. The search party stumbled upon one of her sandals alongside a body part in the river which urged villagers to notify law enforcement officials regarding this distressing occurrence.

Following this grievous discovery, authorities put down the crocodile responsible and discovered supplementary parts belonging to the victim inside it.

It was approximated that the length of the crocodile was four meters (equivalent to 12 feet). Regrettably, attacks by crocodiles on people in Indonesia are frequent. Merely a week ago, a 63-year-old tin miner lost his life following an attack by a crocodile at Bangka island located in Sumatra.

Almost 300 crocodiles were killed in Papua as vengeance for the death of a resident during 2018, and an expert was fatally attacked by a captive crocodile in Sulawesi the following year.
