Haruna Ubale, the traditional ruler of Kukar Babangida and Magaji Zauren Katsina, along with two of his sons, were killed by suspected bandits in Jibia Local Government Area, Katsina state.

On Thursday, the attackers burned five cars and killed six more people in the village.
According to ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the state police spokesman, the bandits struck at around 1:30 a.m.
On Thursday, Kukar Babangida hamlet was besieged by suspected bandits who intermittently fired AK-47 rifles at the village. They killed nine persons in the process.
“They burned five cars as well.
“Police officers were promptly dispatched to the region, and they have subsequently reinstated regularity,” Aliyu stated to the News Agency of Nigeria.
