After their final encounter in 2023, actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham finally conveyed the thoughts and intentions that President Tinubu had discussed with her.
According to The Nation, Toyin paid the president a courtesy call following Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 election and posted pictures of the encounter on social media, declaring that Tinubu was the best candidate for the position.

She claimed that Tinubu had discussed with her various ideas for advancing the nation, but she withheld the details of the proposals.

After her visitation, Toyin Abraham has been the target of online harassment and bullying from certain netizens who won’t stop criticizing her for supporting the current government.

In response to a netizen who requested her to make public Tinubu’s plans, Toyin said that during her most recent meeting with the president, she was assured that Nigerians would enjoy happy and prosperous governance.

However, since Tinubu’s ideas have not yet come to pass, people should cease harassing her online.

“You asked me in a polite way so I will definitely answer you,” Toyin said in response to the user. Naturally, I was informed and assured that there would be good government and happiness for all, and I sincerely hope this.

“If things didn’t work out, why should I have to bear the consequences? I recall being tormented when I voted for Jonathan, but I didn’t hold anyone accountable when everyone else went for Buhari. So why do they constantly curse at me and make fun of me?

“I have faced my life and career cos I am not a politician and I’m not in government,” Toyin responded when asked if she thought President Tinubu had failed in his role as governor. I’ve learned my lesson and will never again be frank about my preferences.
