Tonto Dikeh, a well-known Nollywood actress who later entered politics, claims that Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian Records, is supported by significant political figures.
After his arrest by the police on Tuesday evening as a result of the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the murder of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, the actress responded to Naira Marley’s tweet.
Naira Marley was detained soon after arriving back in Nigeria, according to Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman for the Lagos Police, who was interviewed on X on Tuesday night, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.
A little while later, Naira Marley posted on his X that he had recently returned to Lagos, Nigeria, and that he would be helping the authorities with their continuing investigation.
“I must contribute in some way to help Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police in the hopes that the truth will come out and justice will be done.
The musician, though, was seen being guarded at the airport before being taken into custody in a video that went viral on social media.
Tonto Dikeh responded to this on her Instagram page, saying that in a just society, Naira Marley would be imprisoned and not using his phone to post about his return.
Tonto commented, “Look who has returned to NIGERIA to help the police investigate why he and Sam Larry tortured Mohbad,” in an attempt to assess the singer’s confidence while under police detention.
“I again inquire as to whose protection Naira Marley is under. He need to be in chains and handcuffs in the proper nation, not tweeting on his phone.
I get the impression from Naira Marley’s confidence that he has some powerful political underdogs on his side.
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, after the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were allegedly blamed for the tragic death of Mohbad after a number of documents and videos showing the pair relentlessly tormenting Mohbad for quitting the record label surfaced online.
