The media personality Toke Makinwa has offered females an early look at how they should approach and draw in affluent men during the Christmas season.

The wealthiest and most powerful men are always found around Banana Island and other neighbourhoods in Lagos, according to Toke on her show.

Toke advised anyone hoping to catch a “Big Fish” during the holidays to go to house parties in upscale neighbourhoods in Lagos, like Lekki Phase 1, Ikoyi, VI, and Banana Island.

She said in her message to women that the only ways for them to get into highbrow places are if they have a budget and are well-connected.

“You have to have the budget for enjoyment first because, according to her, some high-profile men don’t like to go out and don’t live in slums.” It follows that you need to know people who know people. This Christmas, women, avoid the clubs—they’re too hot and noisy—and instead attend private gatherings. Visit house parties, as that is the scene. You can control VI in areas like Banana Island and Ikoyi Southwest, perhaps even Lekki 1. Don’t bother with anything beyond Lekki 1.

Reactions from internet users:

Her statement elicited a range of responses, some of which defended her and others of which chastised her for misusing her platform.

“Meeting a wealthy man does not guarantee he will give you money,” one Chyomss wrote. You won’t usually see Shishi. The objective is a compassionate and giving man.

Very true, as one Veronica Daughter wrote. Pseudo-Oloshonism mixed with a dash of tact and pride. Right on, neo-prostitution.

One “At least she isn’t stingy with updates,” wrote Stan Snow. It works well.

“You are misleading a whole generation of young Nigerian women,” one Bam commented.

Writing with pride, one Tee Dagash preached prostitution. How did we arrive here?

“Funny enough, village girls get the best and richest sugar daddies and they don’t even have to do much,” wrote one Kush Zero.
