Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), will go on trial today by the Federal Government (FG) for alleged economic sabotage.
Emefiele will be charged at a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja. His trial was delayed a few days ago.
The former CBN Governor will be docked with a man named Ramalan Yaro, according a notification this newspaper got regarding his trial before Justice Hamza Muazu.

According to a court registrar who asked to remain anonymous, Emefiele will be brought before the court this morning to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.
Likewise, Maxwell Opara, one of his defence attorneys, disclosed that the former governor of CBN received a summons to appear in court.
The former CBN governor would be produced in court by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Matthew Burkaa, who signed a commitment to prosecute him while granting bail to Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court.
According to Platinumpost, Emefiele was given bail last week by Federal Capital Territory High Court Judge Olukayode Adeniyi.
The judge gave his attorneys instructions to release Emefiele right away so they could bring him in for his arraignment on a different day.
The judge ordered that while awaiting his arraignment, the former bank president turn in his travel documentation to the chief registrar of the court.
The judge went on to say that imprisonment without charge or jury duty has to end.
