Tobi Amusan has been chosen as Nigeria’s representative for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics by a joint effort between the Federal Ministry of Sport and The Nigerian Olympics Committee (NOC).
On Friday, the ceremony has been planned to be held on the River Seine.

Alongside Amusan’s position, Anuoluwapo Opeyori from the badminton squad has been appointed as Team Nigeria’s general captain for the Paris Games. With his extensive experience in representing Nigeria since 2017 and claiming victories at both the African Championships and African Games in 2019, Opeyori will serve as a valuable source of direction and mentorship for the team.
