To top the Premier League table, Liverpool defeated Wolves 3-1
But 10 minutes into the second half, Liverpool exploded off the starting line and levelled through Cody Gakpo.
On Saturday, Liverpool defeated Wolves with a commanding second-half performance, coming from behind to win 3-1 and take the lead in the Premier League standings following the early kickoff.
At Molineux, Hwang Hee-chan gave the home team an early lead against the lethargic Reds, and they had numerous opportunities to increase their lead during a brilliant first-half performance.
But 10 minutes into the second half, Liverpool exploded off the starting line and levelled through Cody Gakpo.
The team led by Jurgen Klopp consistently held Wolves at bay, and they were rewarded when Andy Robertson finished skillfully in the 85th minute. Hugo Bueno’s own goal then added gloss to the final score.
Following their fourth straight victory, Liverpool had recovered from behind to win for the third time this season, and they were one point ahead of the pack heading into the 1400 GMT kick-offs.
After a strong second-half effort, Klopp claimed his team deserved to win the match, but he also emphasised that they could not afford to keep trailing.
“Turning games around is helpful in a season, but we cannot rely on it, we cannot,” he said to the BBC.
“Generally speaking, we need to perform better in the opening half of games. That is not conceivable because we are not yet stable. There are too many new things.
