Tochukwu Oluehi, the goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, emphasized the importance of adopting an aggressive approach in their upcoming match against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana.
The Nigerian team, led by Randy Waldrum, is determined to secure a spot in the 2024 Olympic Games, an achievement they haven’t accomplished in 16 years.
Despite South Africa’s recent dominance in head-to-head meetings, winning three out of four, Oluehi believes that the key to success lies in taking control of the game from the very beginning until the end.
She stressed the need for the team to perform at their best, fighting for each other and providing mutual support.

Oluehi also highlighted the importance of not allowing South Africa to dictate the pace of the game, as they did in a previous encounter during the WAFCON tournament in Morocco.
Learning from that experience, the Super Falcons are determined to be proactive and assertive, ensuring that they apply pressure on their opponents throughout the match.
Oluehi’s ultimate goal is to make South Africa feel the intensity and determination of the Nigerian team, leaving no doubt about their desire to secure qualification for the Olympic Games.
