Tinubu’s victory at the tribunal was predictable – Lagos APC
President Bola Tinubu was congratulated on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) on Wednesday by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the tribunal in Abuja affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election on February 25.
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Labour Party (LP), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed complaints challenging Tinubu’s election victory, but the tribunal rejected all of them.
Cornelius Ojelabi, the Lagos State APC Chairman, told reporters on Wednesday night at the party secretariat that Tinubu’s victory was not unexpected.
Having put a lot of effort into campaigning, he claimed that the former two-term governor of Lagos State deserves to win.
According to Ojelabi, the APC was pleased with the PEPC decision. He had gathered a sizable group of APC stakeholders and members at the party secretariat to watch the court hearings and judgement on an outside screen.
“We are delighted and pleased with the outcome,” the chairman remarked. With the verdict, we are happy. APC is not shocked because we put in a lot of effort to win.
During his campaign trips to the 36 states, President Bola Tinubu worked very hard to inform the populace of his intentions and plans for them.
“His success has also aided in his success. It demonstrates the importance of integrity.
“Tinubu’s integrity gave APC the advantage in this matter, and we will keep fighting,” said Tinubu.
Ojelabi commented on the Labour Party’s rejection of the tribunal’s decision, saying that such a rejection was predictable.
The judgement has demonstrated that Nigerians actually supported the APC, he continued.
Ojelabi encouraged the APC supporters to remain composed and steadfast while praising them for their loyalty to the party.
He thanked them for sticking with them from early in the day until this late at night on behalf of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajde Sanwo-Olu, and party leaders.
The chairman claimed that God sent Tinubu to save and save Nigeria and reassured party members of the surety of their rewards for their dedication and loyalty.
“We cried out to God, and God heard us. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was purposefully sent at this time by God, and we think he’s here to improve our lives.
Let’s be patient; things will get better if we do. We will continue to celebrate this win heartily. Let’s hold the fourth in each of our localities, Ojelabi said.
Members were admonished by him to keep supporting the party’s top officials in their wards, local governments, and states.
State, local, and ward executive council members were present, along with a sizable group of party supporters, according to NAN. (NAN)
