Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has urged Nigerians to consider using dialogue to address the nation’s many problems.
In Abuja, as part of celebrations for Nigeria’s 63rd anniversary of independence, he made this statement during a public lecture and special Jummu’a prayer.
The Minister, who was represented by Mr. Danlami Ihayyo, the Mandate Secretary for the Education Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stated that President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda represented a fresh start for the nation.
In keeping with Tinubu’s agenda, he claimed that the 63rd anniversary would mark a fresh start for the nation.
The speaker-in-residence, Wike, stressed the importance of integrating socio-economic issues into the national agenda.
The minister praised the topic and added, “It underscores the importance of addressing the socio-economic challenges our nation faces.
And hopefully it would present President Bola Tinubu’s agenda from a fresh angle and with newfound optimism.
Despite numerous challenges, Nigeria is still growing in terms of achievements across all economic sectors.
But he advised Nigerians to use the country’s enduring problems—such as poverty, unemployment, poor infrastructure, and insecurity—as a springboard for positive change that will benefit all Nigerians.
