Tinubu’s plan to combat Boko Haram threat in Nigeria unveiled by Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the commitment of President Bola Tinubu to prioritize security and put an end to the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria.
Shettima made this statement during the launch of two books authored by former Nigerian ambassador to Russia, Professor Abdullahi Shehu, in Abuja.
The books, titled “Boko Haram and Other Security Challenges in Nigeria: Issues and Options for Policy” and “Reflections on the 2023 General Elections: Lessons Learned and the Future of Democracy in Nigeria,” shed light on the persistent threat of Boko Haram and the need for policy reforms to address security challenges in the country.
Representing the Vice President at the event, Dr Aliyu Modibbo Umar, the Special Adviser on General Duties, highlighted the long-standing threat posed by terrorist organizations like Boko Haram, who aim to destabilize Nigeria through violence.

Additionally, he acknowledged the presence of historical revisionists with hidden agendas, seeking to distort the nation’s narrative.
