Through a post on his social media platform, Effiong specifically called out President Bola Tinubu for his alleged lack of empathy, describing it as both shocking and unacceptable.

Effiong’s concerns about a potential Tinubu presidency revolved around the alarming possibilities of unprecedented state capture and a disturbing absence of empathy, both of which he believes are exemplified by the recent electricity tariff increment.
