Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central, revealed that during the military’s rule, President Bola Tinubu urged him, Gani Fawehinmi, Femi Falana, and Olisa to enter politics.
According to Sani, Tinubu urged them to enter politics prior to politicians seizing control of the nation’s political landscape.
He made his remarks on Thursday during a panel discussion at the This Nigeria Lecture and Award ceremony in Abuja.
“25 Years of Unbroken Democracy: Challenges, Prospects, and Possibilities” was the event’s topic.
