Tinubu’s CSU records: Omokri to Peter Obi, You didn’t submit your UNN certificate to INEC
The Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president in the most recent election, Peter Obi, has come under fire from Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, for claiming that President Bola Ahmed presented a phoney certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
People should be honest about their qualifications, Peter Obi had remarked in response to the concerns about Tinubu’s university certificates, stating that an education is not even a requirement to be a successful president. He identified a number of American presidents with poor educational backgrounds.
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president, won a contentious judicial battle to have Tinubu’s academic credentials for the election on February 25 questioned.
Tinubu had provided INEC with documents from Chicago State University (CSU) proving his eligibility to vote.
In support of Atiku’s case to challenge the outcome of the 2023 presidential election, a United States of America judge on Saturday ordered CSU to produce Tinubu’s academic records for verification.
Tinubu’s objection to Atiku’s request was rejected by Justice Nancy Maldonado in a ruling, and it was specifically ordered that the CSU provide over Atiku’s academic records.
The records were also made accessible to the PDP leader on Monday night, however some social media users are still doubting their veracity.
The Labour Party candidate is being criticised by Reno for even speculating that a false certificate might have existed.
He stated on X that “Peter Obi, Chicago State University, has backed Bola Tinubu’s certificate and upholds the validity of his academic credentials.”
You were on AriseTV only yesterday morning criticising a particular politician of possessing a “fake certificate,”
Give me your reasoning for not submitting your own University of Nigeria Nsukka diploma to the INEC.
