Tinubu’s Commitment to Niger Delta Peace is Non-Negotiable, Says PAP Boss Otuaro

PAP Boss Otuaro emphasizes President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to achieving lasting peace in the Niger Delta region, highlighting it as a non-negotiable priority.

According to Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), President Bola Tinubu places great importance on maintaining peace and stability in the Niger Delta region.

During his consultations with important figures in Warri, Delta State such as HRM King Godday Smith, the Chief Priest of Mein-Diringbia Deity (Agadagba III) of Mein Kingdom, the Meinbutus Elders Council and Ijaw Youth Council’s Western Zone leadership; Otuaro highlighted Tinubu’s recognition of the region’s present peace.

Otuaro received a vote of confidence from the Meinbutus Elders Council, which was initiated by former IYC parliament speaker Deme Yinkore and seconded by Wayas Ebiaremene. This endorsement was reiterated in a statement released by Otuaro’s Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Igoniko Oduma.

According to Otuaro, the peace and security of the region are not being overlooked by either President Tinubu or National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. He emphasized that as a former southern president, Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda is in line with the desires of Niger Delta residents.

Otuaro conveyed that the President extends his sincere appreciation for the peaceful state of Niger Delta and is determined to preserve it. The Ijaw nation and people hold great importance for the President, as long as they remain united, he will provide unwavering support in their endeavors.

Otuaro pledged to uphold transparency and inclusivity in managing the PAP. He placed a special emphasis on enlisting the participation of women, elders, and communities while promoting harmony among all citizens. Otuaro stressed upon empowering youths through education, vocational training as well as providing them with support systems that include mentorship opportunities.

Otuaro contemplated the essential function of Meinbutus in upholding tranquility and promised to consistently liaise with interested parties while demonstrating appreciation for their backing. He encouraged them to persist in preserving local equilibrium.

Dr. Ayakeme Tonkiri, the Chief Priest of Mein-Diringbia Deity expressed trust in Otuaro’s leadership and commended his administration for implementing innovative reforms and achieving significant progress, as stated in a press release.

Binebai Princewill, the national spokesperson for IYC and Nicholas Igarama, the chairman of Western Zone have praised Otuaro’s commitment and work. They cautioned against any efforts to discredit his hard work by stating that they fully support him and urge those who try to cause distractions to stop doing so.

Tinubu’s administration has succeeded in fostering unity and commitment towards peace and development within the Niger Delta, as demonstrated by this cohesive support.
