In the next weeks, President Bola Tinubu will present a plan that would address poverty and insurgency, among other issues that Nigerians, particularly those in the north, must contend with.
During a chat with journalists on Sunday while paying a condolence visit to Kano, Vice President Kashim Shettima said this.
“The President is determined to define the meaning and concept of modern governance and the crisis we have in the northwest, which is further amplified by poverty,” he stated.
“The President is also determined to address social exclusion head-on, and in the upcoming weeks, he will unveil the Pulaku solution.”
“A military solution to the issue in the northwest is not an option unless we want to fight a never-ending battle of attrition. It is necessary to have both kinetic and nonkinetic solutions.
We will provide the Pulaku solution in the next weeks, which will address the concerns and social exclusion of our Fulbe friends in the northwest and work to solve the underlying reasons for all banditry and insurgency in the country.
