Remove gasoline subsidies and numerous exchange rate systems, according to vice president-elect Kashim Shettima, and the future government would have immediate difficulties.

At the Friday public discourse and Juma’at prayer conducted at the National Mosque in Abuja, Shettima made this statement.

He forewarned that Bola Tinubu’s government would have difficult beginnings.

“You may rest well knowing that Nigeria will honor us in due time. Let me be quite clear: the situation may not be ideal at this time.

“Oil subsidies are a burden on our backs, and the multiple exchange rate system harms the country’s economy.

The president-elect will make certain choices, but Shettima predicted that when the time is right, Nigerians would not only recognize but also celebrate them.
