The country’s dire economic circumstances will be improved, according to President Bola Tinubu’s assurances.
During his address to the All Nigeria Editors Conference (ANEC) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Wednesday, Tinubu provided the guarantee.
Speaking through Minister of Information Mohammed Idris, the President said he was aware of the pain Nigerians were going through and that significant steps had been taken to mitigate the effects of the elimination of fuel subsidies on the general public.

Along with the efforts to settle billion-dollar arrears in inherited foreign exchange, he also noted the formation of a committee to reduce tax burdens on Nigerians.
“We all have to make necessary sacrifices for the pains being experienced by Nigerians; we are all stakeholders in the development of our dear nation,” he continued.
Reiterating that his administration was not taking a vacation but rather trying to create a prosperous and dynamic nation, Tinubu said that the government would welcome insightful discussions about economic growth.
