President Bola Tinubu has finalized plans to travel from Abuja, Nigeria to Dakar, Senegal to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

The departure is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, 2024, as per an official invitation extended by the Republic of Senegal.
As the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Tinubu will be present alongside other regional leaders to witness the inauguration at Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on the same day.
Accompanying the Nigerian President on this trip will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and several other high-ranking government officials.
Following the conclusion of the inauguration, Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria promptly.
