On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu restored the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to the Office of Vice President (VP) Kashim Shettima for management.

The decision of the President is in accordance with their numerous establishment Acts, according to a statement made by Olusola Abiola, a Director of Information in the Office of the Vice President.

The statement continued, “The President has also approved a formal structure for the Office of the Vice President as well as an appropriate number of technical and administrative aides that will work with the Vice President in the discharge of his responsibilities.”

In the meantime, the President had earlier on Tuesday morning left Abuja for a two-day Summit in Paris.

Following the severe effects of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the President will join other world leaders in Paris on June 22 and 23 to evaluate and sign a New Global Financial Pact that prioritizes support for and investment in vulnerable nations.
