Tinubu reinstates Zabbey as HYPREP Coordinator, withdrawing Adekambi’s appointment. Understand the reasons for this leadership shift.

President Bola Tinubu has rescinded the appointment of former Ondo State Commissioner, Dr Femi Adekambi, and reinstated Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the project coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP.

This decision was made in less than two days after Adekambi assumed the role of HYPREP project coordinator. Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, conveyed this announcement through a Facebook post on Monday afternoon.

The statement released stated that President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the reinstatement of Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of HYPREP.

The President’s decision was based on a performance evaluation of the HYPREP Project Coordinator, determining that he is capable of fulfilling his duties in compliance with the regulations governing the implementation of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).

As per the President’s directive, the reinstatement of the HYPREP Project Coordinator is effective immediately.
