Tinubu pushed for cooperation between government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies while highlighting the value of data for the development of the country.
Nigeria cannot afford to lag behind other nations in terms of effective data sourcing, thus he called on census specialists to employ state-of-the-art technology to gather data on the country’s population.
The President said that Nigeria has a lot to be grateful for because it is not prone to natural disasters.
Recall that N200 billion was granted to the Population Commission by the former Muhammadu Buhari administration in order to conduct a national census.
Even though the agency spent the majority of the funds in the initial phases of the census’s collation, other commitments compelled the Federal Government to postpone the activity.
