Tinubu Provides Me Financial Support for Revamping Obudu Ranch Resort- Governor Bassey Otu
Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu revealed that President Bola Tinubu has provided him with unheard-of support to revive the renowned Obudu Mountain Resort, which was shut down due to debt and other problems.
After Otu completed his first 100 days in office in September of last year, he informed reporters that the president had given him instructions to see to the Resort’s revival because he planned to turn it into his own version of Camp David in Nigeria.
In his inaugural speech, Otu stated that he had made a daring move to revive the resort in addition to other inherited projects.

“My audacious return to the Obudu Ranch Resort, which has garnered unparalleled backing from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in quantities that exceed the entirety of the preceding administrations combined.”
Otu also mentioned that the Obudu International Mountain Race will return in November 2024 as a part of Carnival Calabar, which will liven up the resort.
The governor went on to say that his administration is proceeding with plans to finish the Obudu Cargo Airport and to bolster CallyAir’s fleet with five more aircraft in order to lessen air traffic congestion.
