The appointment of Mr. Shaakaa Chira as the official Auditor-General of the Federation has received President Bola Tinubu’s approval.
Ajuri Ngelale, a spokesperson for the president, stated that the appointment was based on the authority granted to Tinubu by Section 86 of the 1999 Constitution (Amended), which was amended.
He claimed that the Federal Civil Service Commission determined Chira to be the most qualified applicant out of all those vetted, and the President then authorised his appointment.
Chira also excelled in the office exam, earning the best scores.
Ngelale claimed that the President gave the new Auditor-General the responsibility of demonstrating his worth and living up to Nigerians’ expectations.(NAN)
