Tinubu Names Adewale Adeniyi Customs CG

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Adeniyi’s appointment became official.

This was said in a statement released on Friday by Willie Bassey, Director of Information for the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, he asserted, Adeniyi’s confirmation became effective.

The statement said that Adewale Adeniyi (MFR) had been confirmed in his position as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

His tenure is in compliance with the current Public Service Rules (PSR) rules, and the appointment is effective as of October 19, 2023. The President gives him the job of using his vast experience to his new task.

The new Customs leader had been acting when he succeeded the previous CG, Hameed Alli, in June.
