Emerging from the private meeting in the President’s Abuja office on Wednesday, the EFCC chairman declined to provide details of the meeting, instead telling reporters that he was there to brief the President.

Meanwhile, the President is currently engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Special Envoy of the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Peng Qinghua, as of Wednesday, 4:15 p.m.

This meeting takes place less than 72 hours after envoys from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia pledged their support for the Tinubu administration.
