Tinubu Makes Promise to Resurrect the Argungu Fishing Festival and Promote Agriculture

The Argungu Fishing Festival in Kebbi State will be brought back, and the region’s agriculture will be boosted, according to Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president.
At the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, Buhari made the commitment during the APC presidential campaign rally.
“We guarantee to deliver you the best and the biggest on the market. He reminded the crowd on Saturday that Kebbi and Lagos had both returned.
“We also assure you that the fishing sector in Argungu would be revived, bringing wealth and prosperity to the region between Kebbi and Lagos.”
The former governor of Lagos State acknowledged the connection between the state and Kebbi and claimed it will be deepened if he is elected later this month.
You are a partner of Lagos State, coming from the agricultural region of Kebbi, which is home to some of the biggest rice growers. That collaboration will continue. We work together. Build us up, not tear us apart, Tinubu continued.
One of the front-runners for the February election is Tinubu.
If he wins the election to be Nigeria’s president, he also wants to turn the state into one of the nation’s agricultural hubs.
For prosperity to be a very easy concept, Tinubu added, “We are going to invest in education and agro-allied sectors.”
“We are going to create a corporative farmers council that will provide simple access to capital for the expansion of Kebbi businesses.”
“We forecast that Kebbi will rank among the nation’s top agro-allied industries in Nigeria.
“Fishery will become a huge market opportunity, and we will transform the Argungu Fishing Festival into a tourist opportunity for Nigeria,” the APC candidate continued.
